The Munster Marathon is a very flat city loop that starts and finishes at the Prinzipalmarkt and passes Saint Paul's Cathedral, the Aasee, and Schloss Munster. The open sections around the lake are the easiest because the terrain barely changes, the old-town corners and cobbles are tougher than any climbing, and spectators line the Prinzipalmarkt, gather around the cathedral, and watch from the lakeside paths.
