About Marathon Focus
Why Marathon Focus Exists
Marathon Focus started with a simple obsession: the marathon itself. The early alarm on race morning. The nervous energy at the start line. The moment you turn a corner and hear a crowd roar. The quiet pride of crossing the finish, however long it took to get there.
We built this site because we are marathon runners who never tire of talking about races — the courses, the cities, the training blocks, the things that go wrong, and the moments you remember for years. Whether you are chasing a personal best at Berlin or planning your very first 26.2, we want Marathon Focus to feel like a conversation with someone who genuinely gets it.
Built for Runners, by Runners
Every race in our database and every video comes from a place of curiosity and respect for the sport. We care about the details that matter to runners on the ground — what the course actually feels like, what the weather tends to do, whether a race is welcoming if you are new to the distance.
From the World Marathon Majors to races still finding their audience, we share what we know in the hope it helps someone pick the right start line, train with more confidence, or simply fall a little more in love with running.
Our marathon guides go deeper on choosing a race, reading course profiles, and planning race weekend.
On the Road and On YouTube
A lot of what we do happens out on the course. Our YouTube channel is where we bring races to life — race-day recaps, honest course walkthroughs, and the kind of practical advice you pick up only by actually being there.
