The Buenos Aires Marathon is a flat loop starting and finishing at Av. Figueroa Alcorta y Dorrego, sweeping through La Boca, Puerto Madero, Palermo, and Recoleta. The course passes the Obelisco on Avenida 9 de Julio but does not start or finish there. Spectators line the major avenues through Palermo and Puerto Madero.
