The Wineglass Marathon is a point-to-point Finger Lakes route from Bath to Corning's Gaffer District, following country roads through vineyard countryside with a net downhill profile. The early rural rollers are easier than the sustained late-race descent, which can beat up the legs even while aiding clock time. Community support is strongest in Bath at the start, at organised viewing points through wine country, and on Market Street in Corning.
