The Medellin Marathon is a valley loop starting and finishing at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium, following the Medellín River past Botero Plaza, Poblado, and the cable-car-connected hillside neighbourhoods. The riverside flats are the easiest miles, while the moderate climbs around Poblado and toward the hillsides are the tougher sections; spectator support is strongest at the stadium, around Botero Plaza, and through the busier Poblado corridors.
